Going to your Car in school!

I am just blogging today to let you know about the procedure and how much that you have to do during school to go to your car to retrieve something that you left behind, in my opinion it is a little rediculous! I left a two page essay in my car that I needed for third block! In order to go to my car and get those two small sheets of paper, I had to go to the office and get a note filled out, since I was going during third block (lunch time) I had to get it signed by a principal or the dreaded TT! haha, after that I walked half way through the lunch room thinking o my gosh I need my keys, me and Luke Camp who had so nicely agreed to let me back into the school then went back to the room to get them. We then asked Kaitlin Bash if she would trade places with Luke who desperately wanted to work on what he said was the blog of the century. So Kaitlin went with me to let me back in, it was blistering cold, so I ran like a maniac to the back far corner of the parking lot where I had to park because of how late I got to school today. Then I ran back and she opened the door, I then for the third time of the day knocked on Mrs. Matthews door for them to let me in with the essay proudly in my hands.

I'm gonna be a ROCKSTAR!!

Yes you read right, I said "I'M GONNA BE A ROCKSTAR! :) My church is hosting, a dinner theatre performance type deal with singing, playing, acting, and eating, I mean seriously come on what can be better then that! But I am singing in it, a full song, all alone, with just the lights, the microphone, the stage, my voice and everybody's eyes on me. I am also singing a song with my sister, and singing praise songs with the worship group! I am so excited because this is part of what I want to do when I get older and this is a time for me to shine!! ( :

APOLLO'S SCHOOL SPIRIT STINKS!

 

Come on, APOLLO; Where is your school spirit? I mean there is none, like zippo, like nada... and anymore words that you can think of that mean none. It seems as if over the years that our schools spirit has gone extinct. This week is SPIRIT WEEK, should be fun, right? Well I mean yeah you would think so but at Apollo it seems as if the kids could care less. Now don't get me wrong, my friends and I always dress up for these crazy days (Tuesday: Twin Day, Wednesday: Nerd Day, Thursday: Safari Day, and Friday: All out school spirit day!) and it is a lot of fun for us, but we are like maybe thirty or fourty kids out of the schools population of a thousand. If you are like me you are probably wondering what has caused this decline in school spirit and I don't know but if you ask me it is kinda sad!

Best Friends.

A Best Friend, what is it? "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart,and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words." Well to me it is someone who you have fun with, doing what ever little things keep you occupied whether it be picture taking or talking or looking at funny jokes together playing wii, or other games, what ever it may be if you do it with your best friend it is sure to be fun. My best friend is none other then Breanna Lindsey Jones. The picture taking often applies to us, we have so many pictures together that we would not possibly be able to find a scrapbook big enough for all of them. We also play Wii games such as Just Dance and Glee Sing It. These are just a couple of memorable past times in our 11 years of being best friends. But Best friends are often there for other things as well, from break ups to get togethers, from love advice, and religion advice, to fashion tips and make up. We have been through all of the above together and I am sure that there will more to come. Don't get me wrong we have had our differences and rough patches but we always talk them out and get through them. All I know is that throughout my so far two and half years of high school that I have no idea what I would have done without her. The plan is to stay this way for the next couple years, and I hope that wherever we end up for college (hopefully UK rooming together) we will be near and never far apart. Although there is the saying, "I've learned that true friendship grows even with the farthest distance in between, always together never apart maybe in distance but never in heart."

That's retarded!

That’s retarded! Now you don’t always think about how much those two little words may apply or hurt someone. There are different meanings to these words. It can mean that is stupid or dumb; this meaning is harmless and doesn’t have much depth to them. But it can also mean literally mentally retarded or slow, this could offend someone who has personal attachments to someone who is mentally handicapped. Often times these words can make an impact in the wrong way even though that isn’t how we meant them at all.

Soo YEAH! Yesterday was my birthday! I mean you know that one day of the year where for 24 hours it is all about you, and you get gifts and have fun time? Yeah well that was yesterday, January 12th, 2011! But yesterday was even more special than usual because school was OUT! We had a snow day on my birthday how perfectly splendid! I got to spend the day at home with my family, and a dear friend Josh, always the occasional drop in of friends to wish me well on my fun day was great too! I went sledding and then had a nice meal at Cheddars! Where the waitor brought me a massive thing of ice cream so that I could celebrate even more! I was extremely excited! I recieved a brand new expensive touch screen camera for my 17th birthday (something mind you that I was not expecting at all!) All in all, it was a wonderful birthday that I will never forget.

Year 2011

For some reason I think that this year is going to be a good one! I don't know why, but there is just this feeling in the back of my mind that is telling me with some extremely good friends and gymnastics around me that memories will be made, and we will have gone places that I didn't even think of. Maybe me and Breanna will get to drive her dad's brand new camaro, or Will and I will battle it out on Just Dance 2 ( which I of course will win), I just may have to go and watch some of Luke and Austin's tennis matches, have epic conversations with my Ginja Ninja Connor, and  maybe even a basketball game or two. The choir begins new songs that go with the coming season, and I am very excited to be doing the version that GLEE does of the song "Don't stop believing".  Church is going well and maybe my news years resolution this year of not texting and driving will be kept. There is so much coming up that I don't even know where to start. All I know is that I am extremely excited for what is to come!

Kicking gymnastics off

For the beginning of the gymnastics season and the year of 2011 I would say that my first gymnastics competition was a hit! For the first time ever I had an audience of friends that had accompanied me to this meet, Abigail, Breanna, Quinn, Shon, Connor, Brittany, Alexis, and my mother were an awesome cheering squad! I recieved a 7.3 on bars, which for the beginning of the season and considering it is my worst event, and my first year at level nine wasn't to bad at all! I got a 9.0 on floor after doing the routine of my life, and landing tumbling passes that I never imagined I would land at the first meet. I did a extremely good beam routine and got a 8.9. My vault was something to be reckoned with doing one good vault scoring a 8.4 and another vault landing on my back and getting voided (recieving no score) but it was defintily a learning process and will continue to get better as the year goes on! Hopefully later on I will be able to write to you about State and maybe even Regionals!!
