The Come Back

As you know I severed my ACL and tore my miniscus in two places, February 12th of this year. This is the story of the come back, you know when they start their sport again and no mine isnt the big story that is going to made into a movie but it is REALLY important to me. I love the way that my perserverence is finally paying off. I have been back, well like REALLY back in the gym for about a week now and I am getting alot stronger then I thought that I would so fast. I am really ready. My knee hurts, and aches alot after practicing for the two to three hours twice a week but it is just because it isnt used to it. I am excited to be doing bigger skills again and ready for the doctor to completely release me in Decemeber. ( much to my dismay, as I believe it should have been at my September 8th doctors appointment)! I am going to somewhat listen but I am going to start with skills that I know I can do!! My coach, Josh attended the appointment with me and knows what I can and cannot do and he is going to get me doing everything that he can that still fits my limits. I started bigger skills friday and I am making alot of progress. WHICH IS SUPPPEEEERRR, EXCITING! When you have been out as long as I have. I love gymnastics and I am sooo glad to be getting back into it :)

END OF YEAR!

I am getting what is known as END OF YEARITIS! I am tired of things but thankfully I should only have to take like one final! I am excited about some of it, and other part of the end of the year make me sad, and not want to move on! I have this thing that makes me happy that it is almost time SUMMER BREAK! And the project for English is gonna be fun with my group of girls! :) I am sad to see seniors like Jacob Merimee, Joseph Jojo Payne, Marley Edmonson, and Rachel Myers leave, and nervous about the 3 things we have coming up in the chorus! Senior Church service, Our spring concert, and graduation! :) I am mad about the next years schedule with my lack of chorus, and theory of knowledge making it! Some of my best memories of high school have been during junior year and with the seniors that are leavingg! I will miss all of you so much! :( and that I blogging, I have learned that this year and will maybe even continue it over the summer so keep checking it!!!

The many different hair styles of Jacob Merimee

Throughout the last couple of months on weekends and at tennis matches, Breanna Jones, Morgan Nation, and I have succeeded in giving Jacob Merimee some of the most amazing hairstyles known to men's hair. Haha. We went to extremely deep thought in which of the following would be the most known at the end of the school year: Curly(Breanna), Straight (Sarah and Morgan), Pigtails (Morgan), Ponytail (Sarah), French Braided (Kim Phelps). Each of these were a lot of fun, and Jacob and his mother both found them slightly amusing and to quote Jacob himself, " I am truly gorgous!" Jacob has grown rather attached to his straight hair having worn it now for prom, and also for honors night! I believe that it may stay planted forever, haha. It was a lot of fun for all of the girls, and he is a good sport with each different hairstyle making it just the more fun!!!

The Graphic Arts Gang

Throughout the course of Junior Year, a tight knit group of friends has developed in my Graphic Arts Class. It mainly happened this way because we don’t like or much associate with the majority of the class. Chris Abell, Alissa Ramburger, Katelyn Hempel, and I have become really close discuss topics from break ups to prom, shopping to trucks, to car wrecks and girlfriends/boyfriends gone wrong. We have a bond that now Chris feels like makes him a little girly, and causes him to talk about awkward things haha. But we love it, and all of us now respect each other differently then before. The four of us are completely different personas, you have Katelyn who would be defined as: Shopaholic and crazy about dancing. Chris: on fire for God, and very much into music. Alissa: Loves acting, and made a heck of a Jew in the play Diary of Anne Frank. And Me. I don’t know what you would call me but Alissa defines it as: dedicated to a sport, and loud & talkative. We all have had our relationship ups and downs this year but the funniest comment about it was, “Alissa don’t be down, come on lets go shopping! Shopping fixes everything. Sell your necklaces that ex’s gave you to get money, and then go spend it on yourself!!” These were the wonderful words of wisdom from Miss Katelyn Hempel. We all burst into laughter and had a lot of fun this year! :)

Prom: Not just a Day but a whole Week! :)

PROM WEEK IS FINALLY HERE! AHHHH!!! We have a ton of stuff to be getting done, today I am getting my eyebrows done, and doing physical therapy. Tomorrow I am getting my finger nails done with Hannah Koller, Friday I am helping to decorate the house that we are hosting the dinner at (if we can arrive there with all the dang flooding) then physio, and SATURDAY man I might as well do PROM stuff ALL DAY LONG! I have my hair appointment at 10:30 with a good frend, make up after that with Miss Breanna Jones, Pics with the Johnson family and friends after that, then meeting with the dinner group for professional pictures (Patti's friend) at Hannahs at 4:30. dinner will proceed at around 6:30 and then to prom at 9! I cannot wait! Justin will be picking his tux up whenever they call and getting his car all tidied up and wahsed off! I think that honestly there is WAY TO MUCH pressure put down about PROM! But at the same time you got to love it :)

My Random Day

Today I am just gonna write about the random stuff. I am about sick and tired of this rain. Last night I thought that Matt Leonard, Jacob Merimee, and I were gonna die driving that 4 miles between Mcdonalds and JMer's house. We hung out and sang awesome harmonies. I am super sore from physio and have it again today. My mom and I are about flowered out after making 5 sets of corsages and boutinears and having two more to go before prom! Owensboro's prom is tonight and I am coming to take pictures with my best friend, Tierney. I also thought I should tell you I cannot wait to get my prom stuff with Breanna Lindsey Jones. I am getting my nails done on Wednesday, and I am getting my eye brows done!

Physical Therapy

So physical therapy. There have been so many questions about it that I am going to blog about it. Well lets go about it this way.

Why? -- To fix my knee to be as strong as it was
How? -- Hard work
When? -- Twice a week after school or before school
Where? -- OSMO (Orthopedics and Sports Medicine of Owensboro)
What? -- Strengthening, stretching, and balance excerises

I have been asked many times, Do you like it?
The answer is yes, yes I do. It is the closest thing that I have to doing gymnastics, with conditioning and hard work outs that make me sweat it makes me feel as if I am still furthering my gymnastics career and I thoroughly enjoy it even though I often get frustrated. The people are very nice, and most of them seem to genuinely care about what I am doing. I have three main physios plus a couple that I have had randomly. Their names are Mary Beth- she is the one that is the oldest and in charge, I love her and she is the hardest on me, making me believe that I can do anything again. Brittany- former gymnast, helps me to get all of my  balance back in my core, and my leg, she knows what it takes to be that good. Danja- A.K.A Dana but she is very tall and really stretches me alot when I have her... she almost shot me through the roof the other day with a stretch that hurt extremely bad haha. But it is all gonna be worth it the first day that I can go back to gymnastics.
